BASU Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must satisfy the educational qualification, experience, and age requirements for the respective posts.
Associate Professor Eligibility
Candidates should possess:
- Doctoral degree in the relevant subject including relevant basic sciences.
- Eight years of experience in the relevant subject as Assistant Professor-cum-Junior Scientist/Scientist/Lecturer/Extension Specialist or equivalent position with contribution to research, teaching or extension education supported by published work.
OR
- Doctoral degree with at least 8 years of high-quality post-doctoral research supported by minimum 6 publications in NAAS-rated journals (7.5 or above).
Assistant Professor Eligibility
Candidates should have:
- Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) at the Master’s Degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or equivalent foreign degree.
- NET is compulsory for Master’s degree holders along with one NAAS-rated publication.
- NET exemption is available for Ph.D. holders with UGC 2009 coursework and at least two NAAS-rated publications.
- Candidates possessing a Ph.D., if available, will be preferred.
