RRC Eastern Railway Eligibility Criteria 2026
Applicants must satisfy both the educational qualification and the mandatory Scouts and Guides qualification.
Educational Qualification for Level 2 (Group C)
Applicants must fulfill any one of the following:
• Passed Class 12 or equivalent with at least 50 percent aggregate marks from a government recognized Board, Council, or Institution.
• The 50 percent requirement is relaxed for SC, ST, Ex Servicemen, PwBD candidates, and candidates holding higher qualifications from a UGC recognized university.
OR
• Passed Class 10 from a government recognized Board along with National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) or ITI approved by NCVT.
Note: Diploma in Engineering is not accepted as an alternative qualification.
Educational Qualification for Level 1 (Erstwhile Group D)
Applicants must possess any one of the following:
• Class 10 Pass
• ITI
• Equivalent qualification
• National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT
Mandatory Scouts and Guides Qualification
Applicants must meet all of the following conditions:
• President Scout, Guide, Rover, Ranger, or Himalayan Wood Badge holder in any section
• Active member of a Scout Organization for the last five years with a Certificate of Activeness
• Participation in two National Level or All India Railways events
• Participation in two State Level events
