Educational Qualification
Candidates must satisfy the following eligibility conditions:
- Must be a graduate from a UGC recognized University as on the date of advertisement.
- Must possess a Diploma or Certificate in Stenography/Shorthand from ITI, Polytechnic, or any other recognized institute.
- Candidates pursuing Stenography/Shorthand may also apply. However, they must produce the pass/completion certificate or diploma during document verification unless otherwise decided by the High Court.
- Must have adequate knowledge of the official language (Assamese) of the State of Assam.
- Must furnish an Employment Exchange Registration Number for the State of Assam.

Selection Process
The recruitment process consists of three stages.
Stage 1: Stenography Test

Candidates securing at least 30 marks in the Stenography Test will be shortlisted in the ratio of 1:10 for the Written Test.
Stage 2: Written Test
The Written Test will be conducted for 70 marks with a duration of 1½ hours.

Stage 3: Viva-voce
