CMRL Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
CMRL has prescribed separate eligibility conditions for candidates from:
- Government Organizations
- Metro/PSU Organizations
- Private Sector
Chief General Manager (Electrical Systems)
- Government Organization: 5 years in Senior Administrative Grade (SAG) in Railways/equivalent or 5 years as Chief Engineer in State Government organizations.
- Metro/PSU: Minimum 25 years post-qualification executive experience with at least 3 years as General Manager in the prescribed IDA pay scale or equivalent.
- Private Sector: Minimum 25 years executive experience with at least 3 years in top management reporting directly to a Director or Board in a company meeting the specified project size or turnover.
Chief General Manager (Rolling Stock)
- Government Organization: IRSEE officer with 5 years in SAG or equivalent, or 5 years as Chief Engineer in State Government organizations.
- Metro/PSU and Private Sector: Same experience criteria as prescribed for Chief General Manager (Electrical Systems).
General Manager (Electrical Systems/Rolling Stock)
- Government Organization: Officer working in SAG or Chief Engineer in State Government organizations.
- Metro/PSU: Minimum 20 years experience with at least 3 years as AGM in the prescribed IDA pay scale.
- Private Sector: Minimum 20 years experience with at least 3 years in top management reporting to Director/Board.
Joint General Manager (Architect)
- Government Organization: Officer in Junior Administrative Grade (JAG) or Executive Engineer with minimum 15 years experience.
- Metro/PSU: Minimum 15 years experience including 4 years as DGM.
- Private Sector: Minimum 15 years experience including 4 years in senior management.
Deputy General Manager (Finance & Accounts)
- Government Organization: Officer with 3 years in Senior Time Scale (STS) or Chief Accounts Officer with minimum 13 years experience.
- Metro/PSU: Minimum 13 years experience with 4 years as Manager.
- Private Sector: Minimum 13 years experience including 4 years in middle management.
Manager (Architect)
- Government Organization: Officer in Senior Time Scale (STS) or Assistant Executive Engineer with 7 years experience.
- Metro/PSU: Minimum 7 years experience including 4 years as Deputy Manager.
