Both relaxation benefits cannot be claimed together by the same candidate.
In addition, candidates must fulfill one of the following conditions:
- Qualified the UGC/CSIR NET for Assistant Professor or any other UGC-accredited eligibility test.
- Awarded a Ph.D. degree under the UGC Ph.D. Regulations, 2009 or 2016, making them eligible for NET exemption.
- Registered for a Ph.D. before implementation of the UGC Regulations, 2009 and fulfilled the specified conditions mentioned in the notification.
- Possess a Ph.D. degree from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 in QS, THE, or ARWU (Shanghai) rankings.
